Redeem Tlang was the product of Shillong Lajong FC, a newly Promoted Club to I- League after a 4-year gap. Tlang started his football career from Shillong Lajong and he spent nine years at Shillong Lajong from 2009 to 2018. While he was with Shillong he was featured in the I – I-league as well as in the Shillong Premier League.

From 2009 to 2013, he had just a youth career with Shillong Lajong, in 2014 he joined Northeast United FC on loan from Lajong. He had made 46 appearances with Lajong and he scored 3 goals in the I – I-League. Soon after that(2018-19), he had a permanent switch to the Northeast United FC for a year contract. He had scored 4 goals from 35 appearances at Northeast United.

Thang had a good season with the Highlanders and he was a good performer for the Club. His efforts paid off only when he scored the first-ever goal for the highland against the Giant Bengaluru with a beautiful goal. He scored against Gurpreet Singh Sandhu who is regarded as India’s best goalkeeper. The cashed goal, which he kicked with his left foot, gave Northeast their first point in the semi-final against Bengaluru FC.


In 2019, He moved to FC Goa for a 3 three-year contract but in between he was on loan to Odisha FC (2021-22 season). While he was with FC Goa, he featured in the AFC Champions League, Hero Super Cup, Indian Super League and in the Durand Cup as well. His contract with FC Goa ended and now reunited with his first ISL Club for a two years contract.
