He has been called in to replace Ruturaj Gaikwad as the captain who is being injured. Late on Saturday, April 13, CSK has made the decision to replace Ruturaj Gaikwad with Ayush Mhatre for the tournament, according to a report from Cricbuzz. The team asked that the child join the squad right away.
Mhatre did not receive any bids despite having recently registered for the auction with a starting price of ₹30 lakh.
According to the report, CSK summoned Mhatre, Urvil Patel of Gujarat, and Salman Nizar of Kerala to Chennai for trials.
